Miami-based Pescanova USA has hired Romina Polanco as its director of procurement and demand planning.

Polanco previously worked at US supply company Slade Gorton as a strategic sourcing manager. She completed the National Fisheries Institute (NFI) future leaders program in 2017.

In her new role at Pescanova, Polanco is expected to play a key role in the company’s strategic plan to bolster its supply chain and demand planning operations to meet current and future customer needs.

She will also monitor and report on raw material markets and work closely with Pescanova USA sales and marketing departments on new product initiatives. These will be aimed at expanding the company's product portfolio and gaining access to retail and food service sales channels.

Pescanova USA is a subsidiary of major Spanish fisheries and aquaculture company Nueva Pescanova Group.
