Fish byproduct producer Biomega, controlled by US agribusiness asset manager Amerra Capital Management, has appointed Ronald Figee as commercial manager.
Figee, who starts the role on Sept. 9, brings a strong background of experience in food and nutrition sales and product management.
He will be tasked with growing sales of salmon oils, salmon powder and salmon peptides, which can be used for many different applications within nutraceuticals, food and pet food.
Figee began his career as a junior product developer at Heinz in 2007.
Since gaining an MBA in food and health at the Anton Jurgens institute, he has climbed through the ranks at Daelmans Bankett, Univar and IMCD Benelux.
Joining Figee at the the start of September at Biomega are specialist process engineers Arnstein Haugan, Eirik Elje and Torstein Frantzen.
