Marine Harvest sold its halibut farming operation Sterling White Halibut to a Norwegian investment group, and the new owners are eager to continue pursuing development of the species.
Tec Con Holding, a cable manufacturing group, announced they would acquire the Hjelmeland-based business for an undisclosed sum, and keep long-time advocate Magnus Skretting at the helm.
"We're over the moon," Skretting told IntraFish.
"The new owners have the same passion as us about halibut farming."
The company will pursue its same strategy, and increase investment, Skretting said.
