The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sent a warning letter to Japanese seafood processing company Tsukiji Motohiko, which exports fish products to the United States, reports Food Safety News.

The FDA inspected the Japan facilities on Feb. 21 and 22 this year, and found the company “had serious violations of the seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulation."

According to a warning letter, the company prepared, packed or held fish products such as herring, and salmon under insanitary conditions and may be injurious to health.
