San Francisco-based packaging company Global Fresh Foods (GFF) appointed industry veteran Mark Barnekow as its new CEO to lead its global expansion, it said Wednesday.
Barnekov has longstanding experience in applying new technologies to the food industry. He previously served as a president and CEO of foodservice industry technology provider Amphire Solutions, following which he became president of mergers and acquisitions for iTradeNetwork.
In 2008, Mark was the recipient of the San Francisco Business Times’ Most Admired CEO award.
“[Barnekov] brings a combination of deep retail and consumer product goods industry experience, internet supply chain, and strategic skills to GFF,” said Adam Anders, board member and managing director of Rabo Ventures.
