First dual ASC-MSC certified omega-3 capsules hit market

The world’s first certified Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) omega-3 capsules are being launched in Sweden.

Manufacturer BioSalma has worked for two years to make sure its entire supply chain is certified.

Supplements are produced from fish that are either farmed or caught in Norway.

“This is a reminder that aquaculture products are not only found in the seafood aisle,” said Inger Melander, ASC commercial marketing manager for Northern Europe.
