Big Prawn nabs Iceland Seafood exec for commercial MD role

UK-based shellfish supplier The Big Prawn Co. has named Iceland Seafood UK's top executive to head up its commercial department.

Allen Townsend, formerly the managing director of Iceland Seafood UK, took over as commercial managing director at Big Prawn in April, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Townsend formerly held roles with The Seafood Company and Lyons.

The Big Prawn Co. completed a partial management buyout in December 2018.

Sean O’Hanlon remains as the largest shareholder on the board, alongside Will Rash, managing director of The Big Prawn Co.,
