Peruvian agro-food giant Alicorp, parent of aquatic feed companies Vitapro and SalmoFood, reported an increase in sales in the third quarter of 23.9 percent, amounting to PEN 2.2 billion (€570.7 million/$652.5 million), reports America Economia.

In the shrimp feed sector, through Vitapro, the company reported sales of PEN 515.9 million (€133.8 million/$153 million), an increase of 19.6 percent from the third quarter of 2017.

The growth in this business was driven by an expansion in shrimp feed diets in Ecuador, explained also by a larger number of clients over the period, the company said.
