The Canadian Fishing Company (Canfisco) has purchased the assets of Bristol Bay salmon processor Deep Sea Fisheries, the latest in a string of acquisitions Canfisco parent company, the Jim Pattison Group, has made in recent months.

John Boggs, president and co-founder of Deep Sea Fisheries, confirmed the sale of the Everett, Washington-based company's assets, but declined to give IntraFish details on the terms. Calls to Canfisco for comment were not returned.

Deep Sea operates three catcher-processor vessels -- the Alaska Mist, Pavlof and Alaskan Enterprise -- as well as three tender vessels and processes salmon at its plant located in its Big Creek Fisheries facility near Egegik in Bristol Bay, home of the world's largest wild sockeye salmon run.
