Norwegian salmon farmer SalMar is ramping up endeavors in the field of offshore fish farming with the creation of a new role: CFO and director of strategy at the company's wholly owned offshore company SalMar Ocean. Group CFO & COO Trine Saether Romuld will move to the role once a new group CFO is recruited by SalMar around Sept. 1.
"SalMar's focus on the open ocean marked the start of a new era in the seafood industry," said group CEO Gustav Witzoe.
