Global feed giant Skretting along with Hendrix Genetics and Equacultivos is investing $25 million (€21 million) in a shrimp genetics facility in Ecuador.
The project is expected to create work for 250 people at Santa Elena in the southwest of the South American nation.
It was welcomed by Jose Antonio Camposano, president of shrimp producers trade body the National Chamber of Aquaculture (CNA).
