Norway is able to produce unlimited amounts of salmon, according to Nordlaks founder and CEO Inge Berg, through a combination of traditional farming in the fjords, offshore and on land, but at the moment there is little political will to increase volumes.
Nordlaks, which is headquartered in Vesteralen, is Norway's seventh largest salmon producer, and is also investing in offshore production through the Havfarmen project.
