Infectious Salmon Anemia (ISA) has been detected at sites owned by Cultivos Yadran in Chile's southern Aysen region, Chile's National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca) said on Friday.

Sernapesca is awaiting confirmation of positive test results.

Authorities have established a surveillance zone in the area and are telling companies in the vicinity to heighten biosecurity measures.

Yadran suffered a similar incident in the Aysen region in November, forcing the company to harvest all the salmon from the site.
