Fears in Scotland are being expressed about local seafood processors being cut out of the supply chain as vessels head for ports in Denmark to land their catches to avoid chaotic Brexit disruptions that have ensued since the United Kingdom left the European Union on Jan. 1.

"If boats fish in UK waters, but land in Denmark, processors here are cut out of trade," Scotland Food & Drink CEO James Withers tweeted on Tuesday. "If this becomes a new pattern, it's a huge concern for processors here."
