Norway-based Kvaroy Fiskeoppdrett and US salmon smoker Santa Barbara Smokehouse have won a listing for a new co-branded smoked salmon product at Amazon-owned retailer Whole Foods.

The new four-ounce packages, which have a suggested retail price of $10.99 (€9.45), will carry both Santa Barbara's brand as well as the Kvaroy Arctic brand.

The products will be rolled out in locations across the United States starting in October, marking another step in the Norwegian salmon farmer's aggressive move into the American market. Kvaroy has for years been established as a fresh salmon supplier to Whole Foods.

Santa Barbara, likewise, has worked with Whole Foods in the past as well, and recently landed its branded product in the sustainable retail giant.

Kvaroy Arctic is also developing a new range of salmon hot dogs and salmon burgers, which debuted recently on FultonFishMarket.com.
