Atlantic Sapphire board member and one of Norway's 400 richest people, Runar Vatne, has been sentenced to prison for reckless driving, reports DN.

Vatne, who also owns 5.7 percent of the land-based salmon farmer's outstanding shares and voting rights, drove at 177 km per hour in an 80 km per hour zone in a Ferrari 488 Spider.

His driver's license has been suspended for 37 months and he has has to spend 23 days in jail, as first reported in Vart Oslo.

The court hearing took place in Oslo District Court last Wednesday, and Vatne made an unreserved confession in court.

In addition to the 670 horsepower strong convertible 488 Spider, Vatne is also the lessee of an a Ferrari 488 Pista. This has a total of 721 horsepower and a top speed of 340 km per hour. Only two 488 Pista are registered in Norway.

Vatne is a famous face on the German motorsport track Nurburgring, where he has participated in several races.
