Chilean salmon producers finally got the news they were waiting for on Wednesday afternoon when truckers lifted their seven-day national strike, meaning they could start shipping their fresh fish to export markets again.

But the development came with a warning from the leader of the union representing southern truckers, who lifted the strike along with drivers in the Valparaiso region after agreement was reached with the government of President Sebastian Pinera.
