The Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) is stepping up marketing efforts in six key European markets.

To do so, it is launching an attitude and awareness study to judge consumers' familiarity with Alaska pollock. The study is similar to research carried out last year in North America.

Producers have been focusing on France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and former EU member the United Kingdom, but they are now adding the growing Spanish market to their list of target countries.
