Gudmundur Kristjansson has decided to step down as CEO of Icelandic fishing giant Brim for personal reasons.

Kristjan P. Davidsson, chairman of the board, will take up the duties of the CEO temporarily until a new CEO has been appointed, the company said in a statement.
