Prices for larger-sized Norwegian farmed salmon are under pressure despite good flight capacity to Asia and markets in China and South Korea being flooded with big fish, exporters told IntraFish.

Salmon over 6 kilograms are expected to sell for NOK 47 (€4.20/$4.50) to NOK 48 (€4.30/$4.60) per kilogram in the coming week, the exporter said.

However, with Easter coming up next week, farmers will only have three days to harvest their fish in Norway.

"Demand and prices usually rise until Easter, but this year we have none of that effect," a foreign farmer said.
