The Scottish Salmon Company has appointed Alan Sutherland as marine director.
Sutherland is still listed on his LinkedIn page as a board chairman at Webster City, Iowa-based firm VeroBlue Farms, which previously produced Barramundi but since has been undergoing restructuring.
He also advises Vescor Group on insect meal for aquaculture diets.
Until recently Sutherland was also a board member at African Century, sub-Saharan Africa’s largest aquaculture producer with tilapia farms in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Uganda.
