Around 77,000 fish have died at one of Cooke Aquaculture's farms on Newfoundland's south coast.
The farm has a total of about 550,000 fish, and estimates are that about 14 percent of them died, the company said in a statement.
Harsh weather conditions are being blamed for the incident.
