Nomad Foods is launching an action plan aimed at turning around its flagging business in Sweden, Europe's largest per capita consumption market for frozen foods.

"It is a market where we frankly lack focus and discipline and as a result have yet to successfully replicate the Nomad Foods growth model that has served us very well in many of our other European countries," said Stefan Descheemaeker, whose company owns the Birds Eye, Iglo and Findus brands.

In one of Europe's fastest growing frozen markets, in which Findus retains the largest market share, growth declined 7 percent in the fourth quarter and 15 percent overall in 2019.
