Cermaq Canada is already facing headwinds from the Nova Scotia town of Digby for a plan to expand its salmon farming operations in the region under options granted by the provincial government.
In a letter addressed to Digby residents posted on the company's "Hello Nova Scotia" website, the salmon giant noted it has "heard strong opposition voiced by area residents."
