Canadian shellfish giant Clearwater Seafoods said it expects to see price stability and strengthening demand in 2020 across all regions, paving the way for potential expansion for the group.

"We don't see any pressure in the market place geographically in the price area," Clearwater CEO Ian Smith told IntraFish.

Helped by a "strong high-quality, high-value inventory position," Clearwater expects to post solid fourth quarter results.

Seasonal factors mean the company is accustomed to seeing much better figures in the second half of the calendar year.
