New Zealand King Salmon (NZKS) recorded record revenues in its 2019 financial year, but "challenging growing conditions" led to a fall in earnings.

Operating earnings before interest, tax, demortization and amortization (EBITDA) fell 4 percent to NZD 25.2 million (€14.3 million/$15.9 million) year on year. The earnings were impacted by fish quality and mortalities resulting from sustained high water temperatures last summer.

The group harvested 7,931 metric tons of king salmon during the year and sold 7,520 metric tons, down 3 percent from the year prior, but yielded record revenues of NZD 172.6
