Although the global leader in branded frozen seafood remains predominantly a producer of wild-catch products, aquaculture is becoming an increasing focus for the group, as are certifications and responsible sourcing practices for farmed species, Nomad Sustainability Director Annelie Selander told IntraFish.

Nomad Foods, parent of Birds Eye, Iglo, Findus and other frozen brands across Europe, aims to reach 100 percent sustainably sourced fish by 2025, according to its Sustainability Report 2018.
