Norwegian aquafeed supplier Skretting received the first results of its investigation into Brazil soy suppliers amid slave labor, deforestation, and other allegations made by Norwegian NGOs, and plans to to have more concrete actions in April, Therese Log Bergjord, Skretting CEO, said in a letter to IntraFish.
Third party auditors ran checks on Brazil soy suppliers against parent Nutreco's Code of Conduct, and looked into the allegations contained in the report, released in October 2018 by Norwegian NGOs Norwegian Rainforest Fund and Framtiden.
