Gidrostroy, one of Russia's largest pollock harvesters and processors, is launching an aggressive development strategy following a major mid-2018 acquisition.

The company’s purchase of a 96.4 percent stake in Preobrazhenskaya Base of Trawling Fleet (PBTF) in July 2018, which allowed Gidrostroy to become the Russian second-largest pollock quota holder, will now be followed by a massive expansion in whitefish processing. Gidrostroy has four fish processing facilities, including two on Iturup Island, one on Sakhalin and one small operation on the remote island of Shikotan.
