The Ecuadorian shrimp industry expects to see export growth of below double digits in 2023 following two years of well over 20 percent growth.

Much will depend on prices and how production cycles go in the first quarter of the year, Jose Antonio Camposano, president of shrimp producers' trade body Camara Nacional de Aquacultura (CNA) told IntraFish.

"If the market conditions keep the same in the first quarter or first half of the year, [it will be] definitely less than two digits," Camposano said.
