Seafood suppliers Mowi and Direct Seafoods took home best supplier awards during the Marine Stewardship Council's (MSC) annual UK awards ceremony Thursday in Scotland.

For the second year in a row, the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) joined the MSC in its annual awards event.

Sainsbury’s was recognized as the ASC's UK Retailer of the Year. For the first time, ASC also presented a UK Retail Supplier of the Year award, which went to Mowi Consumer Products for its work in driving sustainability in its supply chain.
