Monica Jain, the founder of California-based seafood incubator Fish 2.0, is launching a new venture fund focused on emerging technologies that have the capacity to improve the blue economy.

According to Jain's LinkedIn profile, Fish 2.0 Ventures is a seed and series A fund focused on investments that help the industry overcome key barriers to sustainable growth. The fund will focus primarily on the United States and Latin America.

Founded in 2013, Fish 2.0 was an annual competition that awarded cash prizes to businesses seeking to launch or expand ventures in the sustainable seafood sector.
