Cameron Moffat, sustainability manager at Young’s Seafood, the UK’s largest seafood processor, is leaving the company after four years.
Moffat joined Young’s in 2018 as its new marine biologist tasked with driving the company’s responsible seafood strategy. He was promoted to sustainability manager just over a year later.
Prior to joining Young’s, he spent two years working for eco-label group the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC).
Moffat is joining Danish green energy company Orsted as commercial fisheries manager.
Orsted develops, constructs and operates offshore and onshore wind farms, solar farms and energy storage facilities, bioenergy plants and provides energy products to its customers.
“After four and a half years, today marks my last day at Young's Seafood,” Moffat said in a LinkedIn post last week.
“Whilst it's sad to be leaving seafood, I'm really excited to be joining the team at Orsted and to begin learning about a new (but adjacent) sector.”
