Singapore-based cultivated meat and seafood company Shiok Meats has signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam-based seafood giant Minh Phu Seafood to carry out research and development on cell-based shrimp products.
The two companies announced they would establish an R&D facility in Vietnam and explore the opportunities to develop, produce, market and distribute cultivated shrimp products.
The collaboration includes working on a feasibility study for commissioning and operating plants to produce cultivated shrimp in Vietnam.
