Phase 2 development of land-based salmon producer Atlantic Sapphire's Miami production site is likely to be pushed back by months, if not quarters, because of a shortage of concrete in the south and southeast United States.

The announcement, the latest in a long list of setbacks, was made by CEO Johan Andreassen Thursday during a monthly call to update investors on progress at the "Bluehouse" farming site.

The concrete shortage is affecting many construction projects, and with much of the work scheduled relying on concrete, executives said they had no option but to delay.
