Private equity owner plans to sell Danish salmon smoker

The private equity owners of Denmark-based processing firm Vega Salmon are seeking a buyer for the group, and are buoyed by the recent sale of Dutch smoked salmon producer Foppen.

Jorgen Horntvedt, an advisor at Alpha Corporate Finance, told IntraFish he sees potential buyers on the salmon production side of the operation looking to move deeper into the supply chain, but are fielding offers from a wide group.

Maj Invest's Investment Director Soren Holm Tot declined to comment on potential buyers but confirmed to IntraFish it is seeking to exit the company.
