Global sustainable seafood initiative SeaBOS appointed Wenche Gronbrekk as director of strategy, partnerships and external relations.

Gronbrekk has experience in driving sustainability initiatives, including from her most recent role at Mitsubishi-owned Cermaq, where she worked for seven years, and from the UN Global Compact Ocean Stewardship Coalition and as a task force leader within SeaBOS.

SeaBOS companies represent over 10 percent of the world’s seafood production and comprise over 600 subsidiaries.

The group's members include 10 of the world’s largest seafood companies: Maruha Nichiro, Nissui, Thai Union, Mowi, Dongwon Industries, Cermaq, Cargill Aqua Nutrition, Nutreco/Skretting, CP Foods, and Kyokuyo.

The initiative connects wild-capture fisheries, feed producers and aquaculture businesses across Asia, Europe and North America.
