When Derek Figueroa took over as CEO of Colorado-based Seattle Fish Company in 2019 he had the challenging task ahead of him of growing a longtime family business without losing that legacy in the process.
Prior to its recent sale to Armand Agra, a subsidiary of Canada-based Founders Group of Food Companies, Seattle Fish was owned by the Iacino family, with roots dating back to 1918. So any change of hands had to be handled carefully, Seattle Fish CEO and President Derek Figueroa said.
