Israel-based recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) supplier AquaMaof Aquaculture Technologies has appointed John Taylor as salmon research and development (R&D) specialist.
Taylor joins AquaMaof from the University of Stirling in Scotland, where he has been a senior lecturer in salmonid biology in the Breeding & Nutrition Group of the Institute of Aquaculture since 2016.
He previously worked for major feed companies, breeders, and growout companies within the UK, Europe and internationally.
Taylor will report to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Neder Snir.
AquaMaof Aquaculture Technologies specializes in indoor aquaculture technology and turnkey projects.
The company is currently working on several large-scale production facilities with a combined annual capacity of more than 60,000 metric tons in Canada, Japan, Russia, the United States, France, and Chile.
