"Sometimes you have to try and think 10, 20, 30 years ahead and know that all the challenges we are enduring will be worth it," newly Oslo-listed Barramundi Group CEO Andreas von Scholten told IntraFish.

While the Singapore-based company, founded by Marine Harvest (now Mowi) executives, has been around for the last 15 years, there is a sense that what it is really building to is a future several years from now.

The company last week listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, a process von Scholten and his team have been working on for the last year, and a move that will enable growth in all three of its farm sites, in Singapore, Australia and Brunei.
