Norwegian giant Insula -- parent to some of Northern Europe's largest seafood companies -- has named a new chief executive to head up the organization.

Olav Holst-Dyrnes, who officially took over the role this month, joined investment group and Insula owner Kverva last year to spearhead the group's merger and acquisition strategy.

Holst-Dyrnes has been chairman of Insula since last July, and since November has been a “working chairman" – acting almost as the CEO in all but name, he told IntraFish.
