Johan Brouwer, the former chief operating officer (COO) at Maruha Nichiro-owned Dutch trader Seafood Connection, has joined algae oil producer Veramaris as its director of International Business Development.
Brouwer was with frozen fish specialist Seafood Connection since 2013 and before that had sales roles with Mowi since 2002.
He will now focus his expertise and industry connections on growing the European retail and foodservice seafood markets for Veramaris.
