Seafood industry executives are facing inflationary pressure from higher fuel costs as motorists return to their vehicles in greater numbers and supplies continue to tighten.

Crude oil prices reached $70 (€58) per barrel in early June, the highest level since 2018, and more than $20 (€17) more per barrel than in January.

Data from the US Energy Information Administration showed average diesel fuel prices were up 26 percent in April compared with the same month in 2020.
