Global feed giant Skretting is investigating the possibility of building a feed mill next to Atlantic Sapphire's US land-based salmon farm in Miami, according to a report from the South Florida Business Journal.
Skretting has filed an inquiry with county officials regarding a 20-acre agricultural property west of Homestead, Florida -- the site of Atlantic Sapphire's operation -- asking if aquaculture and fish farming would be permitted on the site, according to the report.
An attorney representing the firm filed the query with local zoning officials, the Business Journal reported,.
