Aker BioMarine brings in health and beauty expert to lead krill marketing drive

Simo Echchafai brings 15 years of marketing experience including brand building from L'Oréal and Orkla Care.

Aker BioMarine named former L'Oréal and Orkla Care executive Simo Echchafai as its new marketing director for human nutrition.

Echchafai will oversee the marketing team’s partnerships and customer-focused operations, helping customers to promote Antarctic krill’s health benefits.

He brings 15 years of marketing experience, including brand building from the health and beauty and consumer goods industries to his new role.

"His ability to seamlessly blend marketing and sales across various initiatives will benefit our customers, helping to take the krill oil industry to new heights," said Aker BioMarine Executive Vice President Tim de Haas.
