Vietnam is looking to boost its seafood exports to Brazil, where it is already a strong market for pangasius, reports Vietnam News.

The country has become one of the three largest whitefish suppliers to Brazil, with the export value of pangasius to the market reaching $104.7 million (€90.1 million) in 2017, up 54 percent against 2016, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

VASEP said Brazil, which has annually imported more than $1 billion (€860.5 million) in seafood products since 2012, is now one of the largest markets for Vietnam’s pangasius.
