US seafood franchise Slapfish has nearly doubled its footprint in the past year, with eight units open and more than 100 more in development, the company said. 

The chain, led by Chef Andrew Gruel, has signed franchising agreements in Virginia, New Mexico, California, Oklahoma, Arizona, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
