Vietnam's growing middle class and a rise in demand for seafood is making it a prime target for US fish and shellfish producers.

That's what seafood representatives who participated in a trade mission to Ho Chi Minh City found when they visited the country earlier in September as part of a multi-year project to boost the sale of US seafood products in Southeast Asia.

The six partners on the tour were American Indian Foods, the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), Food Export USA-Northeast, Food Export-Midwest, Southern US Trade Association (SUSTA), and Western US Trade Association (WUSATA).
