Alaska seafood is now the No. 1 brand featured on US menus among all proteins, according to research from Datassential.

The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) pushed hard in fiscal year 2017 and increased the number of restaurant operator partnerships by 38 percent.

Nearly all, or 95 percent, of ASMI's partners saw positive seafood sales results with two restaurant chains seeing flat or negative results because of product price increase or decreased traffic overall.
