US-based wholesale restaurant supplier Samuels Seafood inked a deal to exclusively distribute the Jail Island Salmon brand, which is packed by Cooke Aquaculture subsidiary True North Seafood.

Named after a small island in Canada's Lime Kiln Bay, Jail Island Salmon is processed as whole fish, fillets, and portions and delivered to Samuels within 48 hours of harvest before being distributed across North America.

A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to the Fundy Salmon Recovery Project which collects Atlantic salmon that have grown initially in the wild and then cares for them in an ocean environment at the Wild Salmon Marine Conservation Farm operated by Cooke Aquaculture.
